Donald Trump could win the White House, or he could lose but Republicans could retain control of one or both chambers of Congress. In either case, we’ll have very little hope of implementing any major piece of our progressive agenda. But there’s another scenario too. One where Kamala Harris and Tim Walz defeat Donald Trump and JD Vance, and Democrats flip the House while holding the Senate. That’s what we’re working toward. All of a sudden, we’d have a Congress willing to make real progress on so many issues — and a president who’s willing to sign those bills into law. - We’ll be able to restore Roe v. Wade and stop MAGA Republicans’ abortion bans. - We’ll be able to finally pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act to protect our democracy and empower voters everywhere. - We’ll be able to pass real gun reform like red flag laws, universal background checks, and a ban on assault weapons. - We’ll be able to make housing more affordable and bring down costs for families in Washington and across the country. - We’ll be able to make meaningful progress toward Medicare For All as we fix the Affordable Care Act and make healthcare more affordable. And that’s just the start of it. But, we can only do these things if we win the White House and Congress this November.
