It is important for every officer to have the right gear to protect themselves from unexpected situations. It has a NIJ3 threat level, protects an area of 19” x 34” when deployed, weights 28lbs with the viewport option and only 22lbs without. When stowed (folded), the small profile allows the operator to store the shield in smaller areas such as storage compartments, on the back of police bikes or simply in the passenger seat of the patrol vehicle within arm’s reach. The Minutemen 3 is covered in a ballistic nylon material and is stowed in a nondescript carry bag that comes complete with grab handle and carry strap. The webbing on the lower half of the shield can be used to store miscellaneous items such as flex cuffs or stiffening rods. An optional quick release shield sling by J&N Tactical is available for purchase. The Minuteman Folding Ballistic Shield is also available with a NIJ 3A Threat Level for a lighter carry weight.
