Months after it was expected to launch alongside iOS 16 in September 2022, [Apple Pay Later is now live]( in the United States. But, that doesn't mean that you'll be able to actually use it just yet. Why does it matter? Apple says that Apple Pay Later is now available to a limited number of people in the United States, with those people "randomly selected." Everyone else will have to wait. What's my take? Apple Pay Later is a great idea - after all, Amazon, PayPal, Klarna, and several other retailers and payment services have been doing similar for years. You get to spread the cost of a purchase worth up to $1,000 across for monthly chunks. However, the soft launch is very un-Apple-like. And, not only is the initial user base selected by "random", a credit check will be performed that could whittle that number down further. Still, we like the way that you can track payments through the Wallet on your iPhone, and even see a calendar of all outstanding Pay Later commitments to help you budget better. We only wish the rollout was more extensive and global.  Nintendo Switch OLED Zelda Edition looks great but there's one thing you won't expect NINTENDO What's happened? Nintendo is celebrating the forthcoming launch of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom with a [special-branded version of its latest console](. Why does it matter? The Nintendo Switch - OLED Model The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Edition is quite something to look at and will be available ahead of the game launch. It'll be in stores to buy on 28 April 2023. However, it does lack one rather big aspect - you don't get the game itself. What's my take? To be honest, it's not new for Nintendo to issue a special edition version of the Switch OLED without the game its themed upon - both the Splatoon 3 and Pokémon Scarlet / Violet variants also required you to buy the games separately. However, it does seem a little stingy. We'd happily pay a little more if it came with Tears of the Kingdom, too. As for the actual device, the Switch OLED is a splendid console and this edition's Zelda-flavoured aesthetic will undoubtedly whet many a fan's appetite.
