[Facebook]([Twitter]([Instagram]( [Website](  Sonos Era 100 and Era 300 speakers bring new design, Bluetooth and Dolby Atmos SONOS What's happened? Sonos has announced the [Era 100 and Era 300 speakers](, with the former set to replace the popular Sonos One and the latter designed to be a standalone, spatial audio speaker supporting Dolby Atmos. Why does it matter? While the Sonos Era 100 will replace the Sonos One and One SL, the Era 300 simply slots into the company's existing portfolio, alongside the Sonos Five. What's my take? Sonos doesn't release new products that often, so the introduction of two new speakers is a big deal. Fans will be tripping over themselves to get their hands on the new models. The Era 100 will likely become the de facto small Sonos speaker for anyone new to the system, while the Era 300 offers a bigger option - not to mention a bigger price. The Era 300 also moves to support "spatial audio", so if you have access to Dolby Atmos encoded music you'll be able to get the most out of it. There's support for Amazon Music HD from the off. We've taken a close look at the speakers and you can read our first impressions [of the Era 100 here]( and see what we made [of the Era 300 here](. The Xiaomi 13 ships with a 4,500mAh battery but a [prototype technology]( has allowed the company to increase that significantly - all the way to 6,000mAh. Why does it matter? Xiaomi says that its solid-state battery technology has plenty of features that make it a big upgrade over current batteries. What's my take? Solid-state batteries are being hailed as the next big breakthrough in power storage. The tech can offer a number of advantages, mostly that you can increase the power density of any given capacity - so for the same volume you get more juice. In addition, the batteries have demonstrated better thermal control, greater longevity and faster charging rates. For many, the tech is being investigated as a solution for electric cars, but those advantages also apply to smaller devices. We're still some way from it coming to market, however, and with price sensitivities in gadgets, we're unlikely to see a move to solid-state as rapidly as we might in vehicles.  Fitbit Inspire 3 review: Great entry-level fitness tracker POCKET-LINT What's happened?
