[Facebook]([Twitter]([Instagram]( [Website](  Motorola announces a satellite hotspot that will add sat comms to any iPhone or Android MOTOROLA What's happened? Satellite communication is the latest thing to hit the consumer smartphone sphere and Motorola has a solution that can [add satellite communication to any device](, thanks to a Bluetooth hotspot. Why does it matter? You'll be able to add satellite messaging to any iPhone or Android - and not just for emergencies. What's my take? When Apple introduced the Emergency SOS system on iPhone 14 that worked via satellites, it was clear that there more in stock for satellite communication. This system from Motorola provides the link to Bullitt Satellite Messenger, which is a subscription plan allowing two-way messaging via satellite. That means you can keep in touch wherever you are in the world - as long as you have a clear view of the sky. It supports emergency functions too, but the interesting thing is anyone heading into the remote outback or off the beaten track has a potentially affordable way to stay in touch. This is just the beginning for sat comms - we're sure there's a lot more to come in 2023.  New iPhone 15 colour options tipped, including dark red for Pro models MACRUMORS What's happened? Apple will reportedly [add several new colour options]( to its iPhone range for 2023. Why does it matter? The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max are said to be coming in a burgundy (dark red) colourway. The iPhone 15 and 15 Plus will also get new colours, with cyan (light blue) and magenta (pink) variants. What's my take? The iPhone 15 leaks have started in earnest, with a flurry of leaked images and details painting a picture of what we might expect from the Apple's next handset lineup. Thinner bezels, curvier corners, larger Dynamic Island, solid buttons, new colours, brighter displays - everything so far is rather predictable, but this is the year that the Cupertino company would be expected to make a design change to the phone. However, the iPhone 14 also broke with tradition, leaving the regular device on old hardware and only boosting the performance of the Pro models. So what's going to be in stock?
