Bigscreen has [announced a new VR headset]( that's smaller and lighter than anything before it, and it's making waves in the VR enthusiast community. Why does it matter? The Beyond headset weighs just 127 grams, is roughly six times lighter than the competition, and has a low profile form factor that reminds us of DJI's latest FPV goggles. To achieve this size, Bigscreen has used 1-inch OLED microdisplays along with pancake lenses. What's my take? With several new virtual reality headsets imminent - including the PlayStation VR2 on 22 February - now's a good time to make a name for yourself as interest builds in the technology. And, there's no better way to get attention that showing off a headset that seems to be taking the next step. I've always thought VR should be bigger than it currently is, but that the barrier has been, ironically, the size of the hardware. By making headsets smaller and more accessible, the more likely you'll attract an audience that has so far abstained. Clearly, the relatively unknown brand Bigscreen thinks the same - and its Beyond headset looks like a step in the right direction. It doesn't skimp on specs neither, with a 5120 x 2560 resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. However, it does still need a decent PC to drive it, so there's still a hurdle to overcome. But, all things considered, maybe 2023 could be the breakthrough year for VR at last.  Oppo Find N2 Flip will launch globally tomorrow OPPO What's happened? Oppo will [announce the Find N2 Flip globally]( on 15 February 2023. The whole thing will be streamed live on YouTube and take place in London at 2:30pm local time. Why does it matter? While the Oppo Find N2 Flip is already on sale in China, this is the first time that the company has confirmed when the international unveiling will take place. What's my take? Already launched in China, the Oppo Find N2 Flip looks a very decent competitor to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4. I'm sure it'll be very popular in the UK and Europe too.
