Get them to [sign up here.]( [Facebook]([Twitter]([Instagram]( [Website](  Don't expect a new 24-inch iMac until late 2023 POCKET-LINT What's happened? Apple is [unlikely to announce a new 24-inch iMac model]( any time soon. A report suggests that it won't appear until 2023 at the earliest or might not even be announced until early 2024. Why does it matter? "I haven't seen anything to indicate there will be a new iMac until the M3 chip generation, which won't arrive until the tail end of this year at the earliest or next year," said Apple expert Mark Gurman as part of his latest Power On newsletter. What's my take? It comes as no surprise that Apple is willing to wait until its next silicon refresh to unveil a new 24-inch iMac. Releasing an M2 model at this stage could seem behind the times, considering that chip was first introduced in October last year. However, it would be a little alarming if we had to wait until the start of 2024 - the worst case scenario, according to Gurman. That might test the patience of those holding off from buying the current version a little too far. And, what of a 27-inch variant? Yes, Apple previously told Pocket-lint that it had no future plans to introduce a larger iMac with the latest, colourful design, but rumours of a change of mind don't seem to be going away and there's certainly demand for one. Let's hope that it does see sense and offer a bigger model at the same time. That way, the wait will be all the more bearable for those who aren't convinced by separates.  There will be a standalone Call of Duty released this year after all ACTIVISON What's happened? Call of Duty's release plans for 2023 have been the subject of a lot of rumours for the last year or so - ever since it was reported that the next main entry from Treyarch was being delayed. Why does it matter? However, it's now being reported that there [will be a full Call of Duty in 2023](, albeit one that started its life intended as an expansion pack for Modern Warfare 2. What's my take? Considering how much money each Call of Duty pulls in, I actually expected this move even when we were told otherwise. Another interesting thing to note is this could have been prompted by the Microsoft acquisition dragging on. With the FTC in the States, European Commission and UK's CMA each pouring cold water over the buyout, there is no resolution expected in the medium term, so Activision Blizzard needs to prepare to continue as a single entity. That means more COD to fill its coffers, and there's a marked difference between charging for a game expansion and the $70 / £70 price point of a full release.  Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra review: A masterclass in refinement POCKET-LINT What's happened? In 2022, Samsung merged the Galaxy Note with its top Galaxy S device to create a new model, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. In 2023, Samsung is very much continuing what it started: this isn't a huge departure or a rethinking, it's a reinforcement of the previous device. But, considering the S22 Ultra was one of the most popular phones of 2022, we're sure the update is going to be one of the highest-rated phones of 2023 too. Our quick verdict The Galaxy S23 Ultra offers top-level performance. It's slick and fast, the display is fantastic and the cameras really deliver. Samsung is offering long software support and loads of features. It's an expensive phone, but it's one of the best out there.
