The [special Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2]( chips that will grace Samsung's new Galaxy S23 lineup won't be a one-off, according to a new report. Why does it matter? It looks like Samsung and Qualcomm have a mutually beneficial partnership on hardware. What's my take? For many years, Samsung has used both Exynos and Snapdragon chips in its flagship devices depending on the region - much to the chagrin of buyers who don't get what they want. That is set to change, however. We'd heard reports of a special version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for the Galaxy S23 series and now a reliable leaker has put a name on it: Snapdragon for Samsung. It benefits both parties, because Samsung can shout about the fact that it has a better version of the latest Qualcomm hardware, while Qualcomm gets Samsung to do a lot of its marketing - not to mention getting in all those S23 devices. Whether it results in any real-world difference, or if it's just to have a better spec sheet, remains to be seen.  GoldenEye 007 finally coming to Nintendo Switch and Xbox this week RARE What's happened? Nintendo has announced that [GoldenEye 007 will finally be available]( on another of its consoles this week. It will be released tomorrow, Friday 27 January 2023, as part of the N64 collection of emulated games available to Switch Online + Expansion Pack members. Why does it matter? The game has not been available to play on a Nintendo console since its debut on the N64 in 1997. It will also be released for Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One on the same day, in a new 4K remaster to will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one. What's my take? GoldenEye 007 has cult status with gamers of a certain age, and even those who never played it will undoubtedly be aware of the classic because it's been the subject of no end of YouTube videos. On a personal level, I played a lot of GoldenEye 007 on the N64 and it's always held fond memories. While I'm looking forward to speed running that first level and getting stuck into 4-player action, I'm also terrified that - like so many nostalgic memories - it's actually terrible today.
