Get them to [sign up here.]( [Facebook]([Twitter]([Instagram]( [Website](  A PlayStation 5 Pro is to reportedly launch as soon as April this year POCKET-LINT What's happened? A [new report claims]( that Sony will launch its long-rumoured PlayStation 5 Pro console as soon as this April. And, it will come with an "increase in performance" and liquid cooling. Why does it matter? French website Phonandroid claims that an "anonymous source" has revealed certain PlayStation plans, including the "marketing" window and a few key features for the console. What's my take? Rumours like this need a critical eye, to separate what might be fan fiction and what might be reality. The notion of increased power with a water-cooling system isn't out of the question, but given the age of the PS5 (and the supply problems through the early stages of its life), I find it hard to believe. One reason is that consoles thrive on the stability offered through a platform that doesn't change all the time. It gives developers time to really use the hardware and get the most from it, while leaving the user to enjoy the current gen without worrying about what they might miss out on. So I can't see Sony launching an update in April, but I could be wrong. And if I'm wrong, I sure don't understand Sony's product strategy.  Apple's Reality Pro headset sounds intense, and it's coming this spring FIREBOX.COM What's happened? Apple is set to launch its [long-rumoured mixed reality headset]( this spring, according to a new report. Why does it matter? It is claimed the headset is called Reality Pro and could cost as much as $3,000. What's my take? Gossip about an Apple headset has been around a long time and it seems to be building to a crescendo. The $3,000 price seems extreme - unjustifiably extreme when set in the context of the rest of the market. However, the feature set doesn't. It's reported that it will include eye-tracking, with we've already seen in [the PSVR2](, and hand tracking, which many headsets now offer. That will likely give access to the most important part of an Apple VR/AR headset, which will be the user interface. Apple's biggest accolade is making things seamlessly integrate and easy to use - and other VR solutions aren't all like this. Apple launching into the VR/AR category will be a watershed moment - let's hope it happens soon.  Apple MacBook Pro (M2 Pro/Max, 2023) review: A dream machine POCKET-LINT What's happened? Apple updated its MacBook Pro lineup in early January, and while the design remains the same as the 2021 models, the latest machines have had some internal improvements with the M2 Pro and M2 Max. With 14-inch and 16-inch options, configurable up to a 38-core GPU and a huge 96GB of unified memory, the latest MacBook Pro models firmly live up to that 'Pro' name. They don't come cheap though, so should you invest, and if you have the M1 Pro or M1 Max model, should you upgrade? Our quick verdict The 14-inch MacBook Pro leaves little - if anything - to be desired. It's an incredible laptop with more power and performance than most will ever need or utilise, a fantastic build quality, an incredible display, and a great battery life.
