There might be a [new Google Chromecast on the way](, with an unannounced product making an appearance in the code of one of Google's Android apps. Why does it matter? Code discovered in the Google Home app strongly suggests that something is in the works.  What's my take? The Chromecast with Google TV offered 4K HDR performance and isn't that old, while more recently Google launched a 1080p version - so what might this new device be? The details were discovered in the Home app, suggesting that it's preparing to support something new. It might be that this is just a performance boost for the 4K model to make it more competitive. I used the [Chromecast with Google TV]( for some time, but the performance of Amazon's [Fire TV Stick 4K Max]( diverted me away from it. With so many choices out there, even your £50 streaming device needs to be the best it can be.  Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 could finally have a space for the S Pen POCKET-LINT What's happened? A somewhat sketchy report claims that Samsung is making the Galaxy Z Fold 5 a little bit bigger [to accommodate an S Pen](. Why does it matter? You can already use the S Pen with your Galaxy Z Fold 4, and writing on that big display is definitely intuitive. But, when you aren't writing on it, you're out of luck for stylus storage. What's my take? The S Pen problem is definitely real, because carrying Samsung's stylus without it fitting into the body of the phone means you're more likely to lose it. As an old Note user, losing the S Pen is an ordeal you want to avoid - and some people don't want to use a case on their already-bulky phone. But, fitting it into the chassis means making the overall device bigger, or removing something else, like the battery. I'm sure that Samsung will come up with a solution, but whether this rumour is accurate or wishful thinking, I can't yet decide.  A MESSAGE FROM OUR SPONSOR Introducing revolutionary new portable solar generators from Jackery revealed at CES 2023 JACKERY At the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in 2023, Jackery, the blue-chip brand in the portable solar power industry, unveiled its latest innovation: a line of revolutionary new portable solar generators - Solar Generator 3000 Pro and Solar Generator 1500 Pro.
