The rumoured [Xbox Showcase]( event is now said to be finalised. It will take place on 25 January 2023, in just a couple of weeks. Why does it matter? Xbox was a big missing figure at The Game Awards in late 2022 - something that drew a little negative attention given the significant titles it's working on that are meant to release this year. What's my take? When Xbox didn't appear at The Game Awards, many suggested that a launch event of its own might happen soon - and that could be the case if these details prove accurate. What Xbox will really be looking for is a chance to show off a lot of new content to keep people excited and anticipating future games. We're expecting the likes of Redfall, Minecraft Legends and Forza - and fingers crossed, something on Starfield.  WhatsApp could soon make it easier to move from one Android phone to another POCKET-LINT What's happened? WhatsApp is [testing a new feature]( that will allow users to migrate their chat history from one Android phone to another. Why does it matter? While WhatsApp has allowed people to easily switch from an Android phone to an iPhone while maintaining their chat history for a while, the ability to do it between Android phones has been sadly lacking. What's my take? It seems that WhatsApp might be looking at a solution that means you don't have to backup your device to Google Drive before moving to a new phone. In reality, the process is simple and seamless - I do it every couple of weeks as I move between review phones - but if you lose a phone and it's not backed up, then it's gone. Making this a proper feature of WhatsApp could just make moving WhatsApp around Android devices a lot easier - and it's about time that happened.  Fossil Gen 6 Hybrid Wellness Edition initial review: Tradition meets function POCKET-LINT What's happened? Fossil's Gen 6 Hybrid Wellness Edition smartwatch is an evolution of the Gen 6 Wellness Edition, offering many of the key features but with an E-Ink display instead of OLED. Announced at CES 2023, the hybrid smartwatch promises a two week battery life, whilst continuing to provide functions like heart rate monitoring and SpO2 tracking, as well as Alexa. Our quick verdict You might not be able to take calls, or download apps onto the Fossil Gen 6 Hybrid Wellness Edition, but the lovely design coupled with the two-week battery life makes this a very promising smartwatch that we're looking forward to reviewing in full.
