Apple has successfully rolled out an update (2.0.24) that helps people [trace unknown AirTags](. Why does it matter? The update will allow a user to locate an unknown AirTag that appears to be moving with them. What's my take? When the AirTag launched, there was a lot of excitement about the range of opportunities it would offer. Stalking probably wasn't up there on Apple's feature list. Interestingly, no one ever suggested that stalking was going to be a problem with Tile. For those who don't know, Tile dominated the Bluetooth tracker market in the years leading up to the launch of AirTag. The big difference between these two products is how Apple can leverage its massive userbase, whereas Tile can only use Tile users, which is a really limiting factor. Still, if you're an AirTag user you can now look forward to better stalker avoidance, that unexpected side effect of Apple's popularity.  There might not be an iPhone SE refresh in 2024 POCKET-LINT What's happened? An analyst has suggested that there [won't be an update to the iPhone SE]( design, previously expected in 2024. Why does it matter? Rumours had been suggesting that the next iPhone SE would move the design forward to an all-screen design more like the iPhone XR and finally move on from the dated home button. What's my take? I've always had a love-hate relationship with the iPhone SE. I love that it brings the iPhone in at an affordable price, I hate that it's using a design that's many generations old. The rumour that the SE would move to the XR design - ditching the dated TouchID button and allowing FaceID instead - filled me with joy. This is now cast into doubt, with the suggestion that it will involve too much investment with weaker sales in devices that aren't Apple's flagship. Too bad: this shakeup of the SE would have brought the phone up-to-date and removed the stigma of buying a device with dated tech.  A MESSAGE FROM OUR SPONSOR 50% off Samsung wireless charging pads and plugs for the holidays SAMSUNG It’s the holiday season, and you know what that means - you don't have long left for shopping for gifts! The Cleer Enduro ANC headphones fall on the more affordable end of the spectrum when it comes to wireless noise-cancelling cans.
