Get them to [sign up here.]( [Facebook]([Twitter]([Instagram]( [Website](  Sonos and Ikea's latest collab is a new Symfonisk floor lamp speaker VANARAMA What's happened? Sonos and Ikea have had a productive partnership for a few years now, with several speaker collaborations in that time. Why does it matter? Now there's a [new device in the line up]( that can provide a room with light and Sonos-enabled wireless audio - the Ikea Symfonisk floor lamp speaker. What's my take? Ikea is providing a route into Sonos that's really attractive - and dressing up speakers as other household items is a practical way to have your connected music without additional clutter. These are especially attractive, because everyone loves a standing lamp - and now you can have it as the rear channels of your Sonos-powered home theatre system too. What's not to love about that?  BBC plans for internet-only future with no terrestrial TV channels POCKET-LINT What's happened? The BBC's director-general has revealed that the corporation is [planning for a future without its terrestrial TV channels](. Why does it matter? "The BBC will focus its effort on the digital world and over time this will mean fewer linear broadcast services and a more tailored joined-up online offer," said Tim Davie. What's my take? It's a sign of forward thinking from the BBC and one that makes sense. Fewer and fewer people are sitting down to watch scheduled programming - outside of sport - so letting people stream what they want when they want makes sense. Of course, there's always the risk that some will be left behind - and the question of connectivity raises its head again, taking us back to that age-old problem of how you connect those living in more remote locations. I don't expect this to happen any time soon, but I also don't think this is something to be scared of: in reality, content could still be presented in a traditional EPG for those who want it, but just delivered on demand over the internet.  Nissan X-Trail review: A family-focused SUV and all the better for it POCKET-LINT What's happened? Nissan has blown the cobwebs off its ever-popular X-Trail and brought the SUV back, with an all-new look that also features an interesting powertrain setup. You can get cheaper versions of the new model, but we’ve been driving the poshest of the pack, the Nissan X-Trail Tekna+ e-Power e-4ORCE. If you've got the £48k to part with, then this is undoubtedly the model to go for. Our quick verdict The new Nissan X-Trail is best sampled in this edition, which combines the clever use of a small petrol engine and electric motor setup. There’s no charging needed, but the experience is akin to driving a full-on EV. Combine that with the more premium interior experience provided by the Tekna+ trim level, along with seven seats and you’ve got a strong family-centric SUV. Nissan hasn’t skimped on the in-car tech and driver aids either, which combined with its surprisingly capable off-road qualities makes the latest X-Trail a success on most fronts.
