Apple has introduced its [Self Service Repair program to the UK and Europe]( at last, enabling users to fix their devices using genuine parts themselves. Why does it matter? Having already launched primarily for iPhone repairs in the US late last year, the service provides the tools and instructions for owners to fix their own Apple devices. That now also includes Mac notebooks that use Apple silicon. What's my take? It's taken a year but Apple device users in the UK and several other European countries can now fix them at home - without invalidating the warranty, to boot. That includes smashed displays and the camera unit. It doesn't extend to the latest iPhone 14 models yet, and the eligible MacBook line-up is truncated, but it's still a great step in the right direction. One word of warning though. While the supplied instructions, tools and parts make it easier to repair your device, I still recommend you talk to an Apple-approved service centre if you're not 100 per cent tech savvy. Pulling apart and returning an iPhone to its original state is fiddly and you might render it useless if you don't know what you're doing.  Xbox Series X/S games to get price hike in 2023 SAMSUNG What's happened? Microsoft is to [raise the price]( of some of its Xbox Series X/S games next year, with first-party titles, such as Starfield, Forza Motorsport, and Redfall to cost $69.99 at launch. Why does it matter? They will still be available to Game Pass subscribers at no extra cost, but should you want to buy one outright, it'll cost you $10 more than equivalent titles bought in the last few years. What's my take? And so Xbox is the latest to admit it needs to raise prices to continue to operate - this time with its first-party games for sale on its digital store. To be fair though, it's actually one of the last publishers to hit a $70 price point with its AAA titles - Activision's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and EA's FIFA 23 are already there. In addition, it has confirmed that its forthcoming titles will continue to launch on Xbox Game Pass from day one, so you can avoid the hike if you subscribe. It's a no-brainer really.  Denon DHT-S517 review: A Dolby Atmos soundbar that doesn't break the bank DENON What's happened? The Denon DHT-S517 is a fairly unassuming-looking soundbar with a separate wireless subwoofer, and at its price point, it finds itself in a very crowded corner of the market. However, few others in its bracket offer Dolby Atmos. So does it provide great value for money? Our quick verdict If you're looking for a simple and affordable solution to improve your TV's sound, the Denon DHT-S517 is well worth considering. It's easy to set up, hassle-free to wall or stand mount and will work with the vast majority of televisions. It also sounds great, with exceptional dialogue presentation and wide staging.
