Sony will [reportedly supply]( the image sensor for Apple's next range of iPhones. Why does it matter? The iPhone 15 family will sport a new, "state-of-the-art" sensor made by Sony Semiconductor Solutions, it is claimed by sources in component manufacturing. What's my take? Supply chain sources claim that a custom Sony sensor will power the next iPhone camera as Apple looks to offer an even greater experience. Sony supplies many sensors in smartphones and it's not uncommon for there to be custom solutions for a phone manufacturer. Apple might find that having expressed a lot more interest in computational photography with the launch of the iPhone 14, it's the software that actually yields greater gains than hardware changes. Whatever the solution Apple finds, it's going to be September 2023 before we see the iPhone 15 launch, so expect many more rumours.  Musk turns on Apple as Twitter chaos continues POCKET-LINT What's happened? Elon Musk [claims]( that Apple has pulled advertising from Twitter and he's called out Tim Cook for answers. Why does it matter? Chaos has ensued since the takeover of Twitter, leaving many unsure of the direction the social network is heading. What's my take? Concern has been expressed by a number of advertisers about Elon Musk's handling of Twitter. Musk wants to make a case for [freedom of speech](, but who wants to advertise alongside potentially unmoderated hate speech? Not Apple it seems. The Cupertino company has always taken a firm line with certain behaviours and the division between Apple and Elon Musk seems inevitable. But, you only have to scroll into the replies to see Musk fans suggesting they will dump Apple products, people urging Musk to launch his own phone, while on the other side of the argument, people starting to say they're less interested in Tesla. Musk lives out his life in public and that's gained him many supporters, but the handling of Twitter seems to be driving a real wedge into public opinion. This debate seems to be far from over.  A MESSAGE FROM OUR SPONSORS PUPPYOO Putting together a holiday shopping list saves time and money. LG has been a major player in the smart home arena for several years and has made some great technological advancements in the world of white goods. The company - together with Samsung and a few others - has made a big contribution towards appliances being far more exciting than they ever used to be. The LG Styler uses steam technology to refresh more delicate clothing that can't be put through traditional wash cycles to allow you to wear them again without a trip to the dry cleaner. Our quick verdict The LG Styler is a luxury purchase. A great purchase, but a luxury and niche one nonetheless. You would no doubt make use of it if you had it, just as we did for our review period, but it's by no means a necessity. Its limited capacity and size also means it is only practical for a select few.
