According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, development on the [the Apple VR headset operating system]( is "wrapping up" and employee moves suggest the company is focusing on bringing some familiar apps to the platform. Why does it matter? Apple's AR/VR headset is closer than ever with the company leaning on productivity and app integration, a report claims ahead of a 2023 launch. What's my take? Over the past few weeks I've been taking a look at the Nreal Air AR glasses again. While the form factor is good - they look almost like normal sunglasses - there's really not a lot exciting that you can do with them. It's not the hardware that makes these devices, it's the experience. While Apple might be not be at the coal face of the VR and AR world, you can be sure it will launch with a consumer offering that sets a new standard. I'm not talking about a virtual cafe where you sit and use a virtual laptop to then have meetings with virtual people, I'm talking about things that will actually be fun and useful. Game-changing to use a cliche. That takes me back to the Nreal Air. The user experience feels like a quick developer space - it's fiddly, convoluted, compromised. Apple, I hope, can save us from this fractured metaverse.  Stranger Things finale will make you cry, say Duffer Brothers NETFLIX What's happened? Stranger Things [will come to an end]( when the last episode of the fifth season airs and its creators have suggested that it'll make you cry. Why does it matter? "We did get our executives to cry, which I felt was a good sign," said Matt Duffer during an event in Los Angeles over the weekend. "The only other times I’ve seen them cry were like budget meetings." What's my take? Stranger Things has been a runaway hit for Netflix and some of the best TV over the past few years. I'll tell you why I love it: nostalgia. The series is so steeped in 80s lore, pretty much every scene has a hook into popular culture propelled by a soundtrack that really takes me back to being that age. The age where everything was an adventure, where inspiration came from movies like ET and The Goonies, the realisation that there was a big wide world to explore - and full of strange(r) things. That's almost enough to make me cry on its own, but when you pull in these unlikely heroes that we all know so well ... I just can't wait.  A MESSAGE FROM OUR SPONSOR Check out these incredible portable monitors from Arzopa ARZOPA When you work many hours on your computer, it makes absolute sense to use multiple monitors. There are indoor and outdoor cameras - battery and wired models, video doorbells - battery and wired models again, and there is the Nest Cam with Floodlight. Our quick verdict The Nest Cam with Floodlight is excellent. Its modern design won't suit all homes and installation is potentially tricky for those without a current wired light, but it's a great two-in-one device that performs brilliantly overall. [Read our review.](  In Case You Missed it Budget [Google Pixel 7a]( leaks with camera details and more shared. --- The [Vivo X90 Pro+]( is a looker and will launch 22 November. --- Fitbit Charge 5 is now [a third cheaper at $99.95](, instead of $149.95.
