Netflix will [start streaming live shows]( from "early 2023" with a Chris Rock comedy special to be the first. Why does it matter? It was revealed early this year that Netflix planned to join fellow streaming services, such as Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV+, in broadcasting live programming. However, unlike its peers, it won't be showing sporting events. What's my take? Netflix, having been the biggest driver in getting streaming services established, is going to make its move into live events. We've seen others offering sports, but Netflix seems to be focusing on comedy and reality TV. What it also gives the service is a method of expanding its offering. The argument for live TV was that it was great for events, against streaming services that would give you what you wanted when you wanted it. That dichotomy is changing and Netflix's aim here will be to attract new subscribers with new attractive live content.  PSVR2 will be MediaTek powered - and that's not all PLAYSTATION What's happened? MediaTek has confirmed that the [PSVR2 headset]( will be powered by its hardware. Why does it matter? The MediaTek Summit is currently underway in California, giving the brand a chance to showcase its offering. What's my take? MediaTek has often been seen as the cheaper rival to Qualcomm. With the unveiling of the new [Dimensity 9200](, it's hoping to power a new range of flagship smartphones, while making a number of other announcements. That MediaTek is powering the PSVR2 will take some headlines: this is a significant piece of hardware and many will take note that it has MediaTek hardware inside. The company powers a lot more besides, including TVs, smart speakers and Chromebooks - and it certainly wants your attention. That's the reason these hardware companies hold these events, to raise brand awareness and ultimately, adoption.  A MESSAGE FROM OUR SPONSOR NUU is launching the B20 5G smartphone, and here is everything you should know NUU NUU Mobile Corp has a brand-new smartphone with exciting and improved features - the B20. it's a device you certainly don’t want to miss out on.
