Matter has officially launched, with a range of big-name brands like [Philips Hue]( and [Amazon onboard](. Why does it matter? The new protocol has been created to make interconnectivity between smart home devices easier. What's my take? Matter has been in the works for a number of years and finally, at an event in Amsterdam yesterday, it was launched on the world. The aim is ensure that all your smart home devices work together, regardless of the brand or what you set them up with. That should mean that you can use an Eve sensor, for example, without needing HomeKit - meaning you can build your smart home how you want. Many will say that we'd already evolved beyond this point, and through services like Amazon Alexa or Google Home, you can basically do everything you want already. That may indeed be true - but over the coming months we'll be looking at the difference that Matter brings and how it makes things better. - [What is Matter and why is it important for your smart home?](  Samsung Galaxy S23 series likely to launch in early February 2023 POCKET-LINT What's happened? Sources in Korea suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S23 family [might launch]( in the first week of February. Why does it matter? Samsung is one of the biggest players in the smartphone market and the launch sets the standard for other devices to compete against. What's my take? We've seen an increasing number of leaks about the Galaxy S23 devices over recent weeks and that's set to continue. With the phone expected to launch early in February, it's no surprise that we're seeing so much. The headline change appears to be a move to a 200MP main sensor for the Ultra - but that's likely to be used in a range of scenarios, like 8K video capture and perhaps assisting on zoom too. It's also likely to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 hardware due for launch in a couple of weeks - and we'll expect a whole host of software features to strengthen the Samsung ecosystem experience, too. It's the software side that's less likely to leak - and probably the only surprise we'll have on launch day. - [Samsung Galaxy S23: What's the story so far?](  A MESSAGE FROM OUR SPONSOR Enhance your sporting experience with XGIMI projectors POCKET-LINT People love watching sports. We've had some great games released for PlayStation 5 since its arrival in 2020. Some have made excellent use of its next-gen talents, such as Horizon: Forbidden West, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and Returnal, while others have remastered existing masterpieces with aplomb, including Demon's Souls, Spider-Man and The Last of Us Part 1. But then there is God of War Ragnarök - which is something else yet again. Our quick verdict God of War Ragnarök is arguably the best game of this console generation so far. It builds on its 2018 predecessor in almost every way, while also maintaining exactly what made the experience so good in the first place. It is an essential purchase for the PS5 - just make sure you play the original first. [Read our review.](  In Case You Missed it How to [switch to Netflix's cheaper ad plan](. --- How to [turn off autocorrect]( on your iPhone. --- Fitbit Sense 2 has only been available for a couple of months and it now has a [$100 saving, at $199.95]( (was $299.95).
