Fujifilm has unveiled its latest addition to the [X-series camera range](, and this one adds some serious photography and video capabilities to its usual classic, retro camera design. Why does it matter? For the past few years, the X-T model has been a stunning example of combining great photography and video skills with a classic look, and the X-T5 is no different. What's my take? Part of the appeal of Fujifilm's cameras is the looks. The classic design that the company uses means that this looks great when it's hanging around your neck - and that's important. But it's the wide range of photography skills it offers that will really appeal. Dedicated dials for the control of major settings makes it easy to use. The sensor is stabilised to reduce an form of handshake, while it's well equipped for both photo and video work. It's expected to hit shelves on 17 November for $/£1699.  iPhone 15 to use Qualcomm's 5G modem because Apple's isn't ready POCKET-LINT What's happened? After expecting Apple to use its own 5G modem starting with iPhone 15, Qualcomm now says that [it will provide the "vast majority"]( of them instead. Why does it matter? Apple has been working on building its own 5G modem since picking up what was left of Intel's modem business in 2019, but it was always going to take time to get it ready for use in iPhones. What's my take? To the everyday customer on the street, the supplier of the modem in your phone probably makes no difference at all. In many cases, you'll never know who that is. But companies like Qualcomm have put a lot of time and effort into raising brand awareness, trying to make it a customer choice - that's certainly the case with its Snapdragon hardware. Apple moving to its own hardware will of course allow it better control over margins and perhaps allow it to streamline supply chains, but it can't afford to see a drop in performance, because that's something that customers will be all too aware of.  A MESSAGE FROM OUR SPONSOR The 47 most exciting tech products from the Exertis tech event POCKET-LINT The UK’s leading technology distributor, Exertis, recently invited 24 world-leading brands to its annual technology showcase.
