Amazon's [Prime Early Access Sales]( have kicked off with a range of discounts from the online retailer. Why does it matter? Amazon sees this as an opportunity to spread the load for Christmas shopping, falling between July's Prime Day and November's Black Friday. What's my take? It looks like many of the deals from Prime Day are back, across a full range of devices, although they don't appear as extensive as Prime Day or Black Friday sales. However, if you're looking for a bargain, there's plenty to browse, such as [Ring cameras and doorbells]( [Sony, Bose and other headphones]( [Fire TV Sticks]( and if you're in the UK, there's a great deal on [the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3](. These sales will only last for 48 hours though - then you'll have to wait until the end of November for the next round of discounts. Lufthansa bans using AirTags to track your lost luggage POCKET-LINT What's happened? German airline Lufthansa says you [can't use your AirTags to track your lost luggage]( anymore, citing safety. Why does it matter? Lufthansa might have misinterpreted how they work. What's my take? This is an interesting twist, but I can't help feeling that it's a loose interpretation of rules designed to protect against a certain type of battery. Those rules come from International Civilian Aviation Organization guidelines but are designed for high-power lithium-ion batteries. AirTags have become popular for tracking lost luggage and many believe this is actually a move by the airline to save face when it can't find missing cases, but the owner can see exactly where it is. If those ICAO guidelines do indeed apply to tracking devices of this type (which seems unlikely) we can expect lots of airlines to rally around. But, in reality, everyone now carries a number of devices supporting Bluetooth and battery-powered, from phones to headphones to electric toothbrushes, and you can't ban them all.
