Sky has announced the release date of its [standalone Sky Stream Puck]( in the UK and has dropped the "Puck" from its name in the process. Why does it matter? Sky Stream will be available in the UK from 18 October 2022. What's my take? We finally have an on-sale date for the device announced back in April. Sky Stream will be available to order in just a few weeks time and it presents an attractive option for many who haven't been able to get Sky TV previously. Having lived in a listed building that did not allow a satellite dish on the roof, I can see the benefit of internet-provided pay TV. And, I have always been attracted to the experience offered by Sky Glass. However, as my living room is graced by a 65-inch OLED set, I was never likely to swap it in for Sky's alternative. I doubt I am alone. The Sky Stream device and service is certainly intriguing, therefore, offering the same experience but for an existing TV. It can also output 4K HDR and Dolby Atmos (if you subscribe to a dedicated package), so you don't have to compromise on picture or sound quality neither. It's worth noting that you'll need a decent broadband speed and that Virgin Media offers a rival product in its own Stream device, but we're certainly looking forward to giving Sky Stream a thorough test in the Pocket-lint labs. - [What is Sky Stream, how much does it cost and how can I get it?]( Apple Pay Later might not arrive until 2023 due to 'technical' challenges APPLE What's happened? Apple Pay Later [might not arrive until next year](. The upcoming "buy now, pay later" feature, which will let qualifying US customers split their purchases into four equal payments over six weeks, is reportedly being delayed until 2023 due to technical engineering challenges. Why does it matter? Apple announced Apple Pay Later at WWDC last summer. It was supposed to be a new feature in iOS 16 - or an update to it. However, it is still not live. What's my take? Apple announced Pay Later with quite some fanfare, offering US Apple device owners the ability to pay for products in zero-interest instalments. But, iOS 16 has released and it's conspicuous by its absence. In the meantime, rivals are offering a similar service with no issues or fuss - and have been for a while. Amazon often allows customers to pay for big ticket items over five months interest-free (including Apple products, ironically), And PayPal does something similar for its users. Apple Pay Later will undoubtedly launch at some point (it's not the AirPower, after all). You'll just get it, well, later. Asus ROG Phone 6D Ultimate review: Take your game to another Dimension POCKET-LINT What's happened? For years, the top-tier Android phones have had one thing in common: Snapdragon processors. The latest ROG Phone 6D Ultimate is seeking to offer even better performance than [the ROG Phone 6 Pro]( but doing it with MediaTek's flagship Dimensity 9000+ chipset instead. Our quick verdict What makes the ROG Phone 6D Ultimate special is pretty much the same as what has made any other ROG Phone stand out: the multimedia experience. It's big and bold, but with its large, excellent display combined with the best stereo speakers we've ever heard on a phone, it's fantastic for gaming and consuming media on.
