Get them to [sign up here.]( PlayStation VR2 headset confirmed for "early 2023" SONY INTERACTIVE ENTERTAINMENT What's happened? Sony's PlayStation VR2 headset should arrive in "early 2023", [according to posts]( shared by the company on Twitter and Instagram. Why does it matter? Sony has revealed PSVR2's key features, such as its displays that add up to 4K resolution and can run at 90Hz or 120Hz. The PSVR2 also has a 110-degree field of view and uses foveated rendering. What's my take? The next generation of the PSVR will be a PS5 exclusive, connecting via USB-C and using internal tracking rather than relying on an external camera. That's going to make for a much more flexible system than the previous model, but I do wonder what sort of appetite there is for PSVR. PlayStation has taken a long time to get to this point, suggesting there was little rush - most likely because customer demand wasn't that high. We see that story repeated across the industry: VR or AR (or MR or XR) devices just don't seem to have had the big impact that lots of people expected. I've always considered PSVR to be a strong candidate for having the most appeal - because of that easy ecosystem you can access - so early 2023 will be a good measure of public appetite for such systems. DeLorean unveiled a full-sized model of the Alpha5 electric car at Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance Why does it matter? DeLorean is an iconic brand for so many reasons, none more so than the cult movie franchise that was Back to the Future. What's my take? Back to the Future made the DMC-12 a icon on the same sort of scale as Bullitt's Mustang, James Bond's DB5 or perhaps the Duke of Hazzard's Dodge Charger. But, DeLorean was a troubled company, which is why the rebirth of the brand has added significance. And, unveiling this car at Concours d'Elegance, means that a lot more on the car circuit have now set eyes on it. Expected to be available in 2024, the Alpha5 is promising a 0-88mph time of 4.35 seconds and if you don't know why that's important, you probably shouldn't buy one. Over 300 miles of range from a battery in excess of 100kWh suggests that this grand tourer is going to be expensive - but the bigger question is whether this is also a model that DeLorean can make a success out of.
