Get them to [sign up here.]( Vivo V25 and V20 Pro come with color changing glass panels and camera wizardry VIVO What's happened? Vivo has [announced two flagship phones]( that mainly focus on photography, but also come with glass rear panels that can change color in direct sunlight. Why does it matter? The Vivo V25 and V25 Pro each include rear cases that use color changing techniques made up of fluorite AG glass covered in tiny crystals. When exposed to UV light, the case can change the hue and revert again after a period away from the sun. This also allows for patterns to be created using stencils, as only the areas hit by UV will change. What's my take? Making a modern smartphone stand out is a tough ask. After all, as consumers, we just want a large (mostly) flat screen we can swipe and tap on to our heart's content. Yes, the device has to look pretty, but function is favoured over frippery for the majority of us. Vivo's latest gimmickry has piqued my interest though. A color changing rear panel that you can imprint with your own design is a head-turner, for sure. It won't set the world alight, but is at least different. I just wonder how long it'll be before we see Twitter and Instagram awash with V25 and Pro models adorned with salacious body parts? I give it 10 minutes. A PlayStation PC launcher could be on the cards SONY INTERACTIVE ENTERTAINMENT What's happened? Sony could soon [introduce its own PC games launcher]( to circumnavigate the likes of Steam and the Epic Games Store. Why does it matter? References to a "PlayStation PC launcher" have been spotted in the files of Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered for Windows. This could enable the gaming giant to sell and launch its first-party PC titles directly. What's my take? Rockstar asks PC gamers to launch its games through a proprietary portal, so it makes sense for PlayStation to as well. And, with additional rumours that the gaming giant is to integrate PlayStation Network within its Windows titles, it seems the shift to being a multi-platform publisher is almost complete. It'll irk Steam and Epic Games Store users if Sony moves its PC games to a dedicated launcher, but when you're talking about the likes of God of War: Ragnarök, we're sure the quality of the content will sweeten the pill.
