Get them to [sign up here.]( With Samsung out of the way, Xiaomi and Motorola flex their folding phones MOTOROLA What's happened? Xiaomi announced the Mix Fold 2, while Motorola has announced the Moto Razr 2022. Why does it matter? You wait all year for a folding phone and then four come along at once. What's my take? If you're a fan of the folding phones then this has been quite the week. While [Samsung made a big splash]( Xiaomi and Motorola were a little quieter, launching first for the Chinese market. Of course, there's no way to compartmentalise that information in the modern era, so we have the full details for the [Moto Razr 2022]( and the [Xiaomi Mix Fold 2](. The catch is that the Xiaomi device - claiming to be the world's thinnest at 5.4mm - is likely to only be available in China. Motorola on the other hand is expected to launch the Razr 2022 to a global audience in September. The appeal of the Motorola device is the big external display - which is larger than Samsung's offering - while Moto is also trying to beat Samsung's specs with a 144Hz main display and 50MP camera. It looks like the folding phone wars are truly here. Apple's next entry-level iPad renders appear MYSMARTPRICE What's happened? Apple is expected to announce its next iPhone and Apple Watch models in September, but the company is also thought to be working on [a new entry-level iPad](. Why does it matter? It looks like the 10th generation iPad may offer flatter edges than its predecessor, which would see it offer a similar look to the rest of the iPad range. What's my take? Apple is often slow to move its entry-level devices into line with its Pro offering, making it clear that the latest and greatest comes with the more expensive devices, often changing little on more affordable devices. The new iPad could move to a square edge design, which would be welcomed, but if these renders are accurate, the bezel around the display and TouchID button will remain, clinging onto that slightly older look. Apple leaks are pretty rare, however, so it's difficult to know if these are accurate - but there could be a new iPad in the works to get excited about.
