Despite showing off the [Pixel 7 at Google I/O]( no official launch date has been revealed yet. What's my take? Google has traditionally held an October hardware event, so the 6 October date fits right in where we'd expect it to. But Google has changed its approach in recent years. Showing off the forthcoming devices 6-months ahead of launch is unprecedented, but it has muted the leaks and doesn't appear to have muted the excitement. Google has also changed its approach to software, now pushing the next version of Android well ahead of its device launch, instead of trying to do everything at the same time. The result has been faster updates across the Android space, but it also means that when the Pixel 7 launches, those with the Pixel 6 will already have the new software - and that wasn't always the case. You can play real life Squid Game with your friends, here's how and where IMMERSIVE GAMEBOX / POCKET-LINT What's happened? An interactive gaming company called Immersive Gamebox has signed an agreement with Netflix to develop an in-person Squid Game experience to allow teams to take part in challenges inspired by some of the games in the TV series. Why does it matter? The in-person Squid Game experience will see teams of between two and six players competing in a series of challenges that have been inspired by the games in the TV show. What's my take? You'll only lose a virtual life when you die in this spin-out from Squid Games. Thanks to an adaptable format, we've now heard of a number of "real world" Squid Games experiences. For this latest version, Immersive Gamebox will host pop-up game experiences in public spaces, like shopping malls, so you'll be able to have a go yourself. Netflix already had plans for a [Squid Games reality show]( and we've seen the likes of [YouTube royalty Mr Beast]( hosting his own Squid Game-style events. It's good harmless fun - with some people in the chance to win some money - but all this is a distraction from the real issue here. When will we see [Squid Games Season 2]( and will it ever be as good as the first run? SteelSeries' Apex keyboards have long been favoured among gamers - and for good reason, too. The range boasts various a number of premium options; each of them packed with tons of features and impressive specs. And, as you might expect, the 'Pro' versions are the most appealing, with their adjustable actuation switches making them the most customisable keyboards on the market. Our quick verdict The SteelSeries Apex Pro Mini is a fantastic little keyboard with a lot on offer, but it also has a fairly large price tag.
