Sony has lifted the lid on [some of the user experience]( features coming with its PlayStation VR2 headset. Why does it matter? It has given us an early glimpse at several things wearers can expect when donning the forthcoming virtual reality system. What's my take? VR is trying to have its moment again and PSVR was one of the early devices to actually make inroads into the virtual highway. Sony is outlining really sensible things, like exterior cameras so you can see the real world with the headset using that information to know where you are in relation to objects. This really helps blend the virtual and physical world and, if you're asking people to spend a lot of time gaming in VR, being able to jump back into the room easily is really important. The bigger question still persists: is VR going to really breakthrough to the mainstream and fuel metaverse dreams, or will the isolation of virtual worlds deter people? Mini Concept Aceman shows the electric future of Mini POCKET-LINT What's happened? Mini has pulled the covers from its latest concept, [the Mini Concept Aceman](. Why does it matter? This isn't some pie in the sky concept, the Aceman will go into production and according its designer - Oliver Heilmer - it's pretty close to the model we're expecting on the roads in 2024. What's my take? Mini design is iconic, and has come a long way from the classic Cooper. The reborn Mini Hatch is hugely popular, but the Aceman outlines a shift in design. This model is both a template for the future and a new model that's going to slip in between the Hatch and Countryman. Much of the form of the Aceman will be familiar and is related to the Mini we have now, but there's been a deliberate move away from materials like leather and chrome to boost the eco credentials. This is also only going to be an electric car. There's a hint at a cleaner design on the interior, but the most interesting thing is that Mini is using projectors to add information to the dash outside the central display, rather than using more screens. It's an interesting approach and not without merit in car design - it makes the placement of airbags simpler for example - but we're not sure we'll be seeing it in 2024. Either way, there are exciting things coming from Mini as it moves towards going all-electric by 2030. - [See more of the Mini Aceman here](.
