Get them to [sign up here.]( Netflix tries to stop password sharing by asking you to buy additional homes FREESTOCKS / UNSPLASH What's happened? Netflix is testing a new way to prevent password sharing: it's asking users in some countries to [buy additional homes](. Why does it matter? A support page for Netflix in Honduras details it is prompting some users to pay an additional fee if they try to log into a Netflix account on a TV or TV-connected device at a location outside their primary household for over two weeks. What's my take? It looks like Grandma might need her own subscription to Netflix, if the company follows through on these plans to deter password sharers. Within your household you're allowed to share your log-in credentials, but with some passing out their details to extended family or friends, Netflix wants to crackdown on the estimated 100 million phantom subscribers. At the same time, the price of Netflix has been increasing while cancellations are also increasing. It looks like that rumoured free tier of Netflix can't come soon enough. Apple said to be considering eSIM-only for iPhone 14 Pocket-lint What's happened? It could be the [beginning of the end]( for the humble SIM card, as eSIM adoption increases across Asia and European markets. Why does it matter? A report by the Wall Street Journal speculates that US adoption is set to increase rapidly, with three major providers preparing to go SIM-free. What's my take? This is a change that can't come soon enough. It might sound scary - moving on from the humble SIM card - but in reality, the physical SIM just takes up loads of space in your phone. Removing the tray and using the physical in-built eSIM instead will mean there's a little more space to fill with something useful - like more battery. A dual eSIM device could make it really simple when arriving in a new country - you just register your local SIM for all that cheap data, while moving to a new phone will be similarly easy. As we said, this change can't come soon enough. Stray review: Everybody wants to be a cat ANNAPURNA INTERACTIVE What's happened? It's refreshing when an unlikely game lights the world up with a trailer and suddenly finds itself the centre of huge interest - and that's what Stray achieved when it was unveiled alongside the PS5 in mid-2020. The sheer novelty that you play as a cat may account for some of that, but its visual flair and mysterious story played their part, too. Our quick verdict Stray is a lovely story told simply with a protagonist whose near-silence makes sense for once - it's more than worth the time. [Read our review](.
