Get them to [sign up here.]( Only iPhone 14 Pro models will get Apple's A16 chip, claims analyst Pocket-lint What's happened? An analyst claims in a new report that the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max will run on a new Apple A16 chipset, but the iPhone 14 and 14 Max will continue with the A15 Bionic chip found in the current iPhone 13 range. Why does it matter? Previous yearly iPhone ranges have offered the same hardware across the board, so cheaper models matched the performance of the top models. But, that could be about to change. What's my take? This is an interesting story, because it would suggest a change of direction for Apple. Having different hardware tiers across iPhone models is akin to the approach from many Android manufacturers. The problem with sticking to the last generation of hardware, though, is that your new phone is essentially the same as the last, so there's no reason to swap it in. That might sew confusion for upgraders wondering which is the best iPhone - with the suggestion that Apple would then see more customers choosing the expensive Pro models to get the very best, pushing up profits. Or it might simply be the case that, without the more affordable upgraded models, iPhone users choose to keep their existing handset for longer. - [Apple iPhone 14 and 14 Max rumours, specs and everything we have heard so far]( Here's our first look at the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 91Mobiles/Evan Blass What's happened? The first images of what appears to be the [Samsung Galaxy Watch 5]( series have surfaced online. Why does it matter? In an exclusive leak from 91Mobiles and reliable tipster Evan Blass, we now have full 3D renders of the smartwatch - and its premium twin, the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. What's my take? While you'll spot the Apple Watch on wrists everywhere, few other smartwatches really make a breakthrough (discounting Garmin which you also see everywhere). The Samsung Galaxy Watch is often held up as the champion, however. It has the brand power of Samsung and in recent years also took on the mantle of being Wear OS's champion too. With Evan Blass' reputation as a leaker being solid, these recent images give us a good look at the hardware to expect - and it looks like it could be a great watch. There's a lot more to a device to make it desirable - software experience, battery life, and some sort of useful functionality. These will be the make-or-break characteristics of Samsung's future watch. - [Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro: Everything we know so far]( Poco F4 GT review: Blurring the lines Pocket-lint What's happened? The Poco F4 GT is a puzzling proposition in a number of ways. First of all, it launched ahead of any 'regular' Poco F4 model, so it's not exactly clear where it fits in the company's lineup. Secondly, it is - broadly speaking - just a rebadged Redmi K50 Gaming, which, in itself, is remarkably similar to the Black Shark 5 series. Our quick verdict If your desire in a phone is to get flagship power and speed without the price tag, the Poco F4 GT could well be the phone. It's big, powerful and costs about half as much as the big-name flagship phones.
