Apple CEO Tim Cook recently gave an [on-camera interview]( to China Daily, where he may have hinted that Apple is working on an augmented reality headset. Why does it matter? When asked about what an AR headset needs to succeed in the consumer market, the executive talked about how Apple has an active interest in augmented reality technology. A the end, he even told viewers to "stay tuned and you will see what we have to offer". What's my take? Watching the clip, there's certainly a wry smile that creeps across Cook's face as he gives his answer. Apple's AR efforts are certainly ramping up, with many initially believing that it would announce details of a new headset at the recently held WWDC. Of course, that didn't happen. The whole experience reminds me of the build up to the original iPhone back in 2007. For a couple of years beforehand, there was a "will they, won't they" mentality that meant when it was eventually revealed, we'd all been so accustomed to talking about it, it just seemed logical. I wonder if Apple is hoping it can do the same again with a pair of AR glasses. Nothing phone (1) won't launch in the US Nothing What's happened? Nothing has [confirmed]( that it will not be launching its much-hyped phone (1) in the US. Why does it matter? It must come as a major disappointment for excited US fans of the fledgling tech brand. However, it also isn't a huge surprise given that a list of wireless carriers Nothing provided contained no US or Canadian brands. What's my take? Oh. Apple MacBook Pro (M2, 2022) review: An old friend gets a performance boost Pocket-lint What's happened? Unlike the redesigned MacBook Air, this updated Pro machine has largely been left untouched. Compared to the previous generation, there's actually only one change - the introduction of a shiny, new M2 processor. Our quick verdict The MacBook Pro (M2, 2022) delivers Apple's latest entry-level processor to an existing model that's still very functional. It's just not the best value. So, if you aren't fussed about having the Touch Bar and don't crave the 'Pro' name, we would recommend waiting to see just how the new MacBook Air performs. Our expectations are that this will be the better model for most people.
