Now that Nothing has announced the launch date for the [Nothing phone (1)]( the company seems to have gone into full hype mode. Why does it matter? The latest [image]( shared on social channels, appears to show a pair of birds. But it's what they are sitting on that's important and we can only assume it's the first real look at the Nothing phone (1). What's my take? Carl Pei, the founder of Nothing has a track record of this kind of thing, having previously formed OnePlus too. Maybe we'll get another glimpse of the Nothing phone next week, before eventually seeing the phone in full on 12 July. My only fear with all this teasing is that, when it comes to the real deal we might have had enough of it all to really enjoy the phone for what it is. Apple's elusive AR glasses might not appear until late 2024 Apple What's happened? Jeff Pu of Haitong Intl Tech Research has [claimed]( that supply chain indications point to a late 2024 launch for Apple's AR glasses. That's later than many others have predicted. Why does it matter? The core of the story never really changes - multiple analysts and industry sources seem absolutely certain that an augmented-reality headset is in the works at Apple. What's my take? A couple of weeks ago, it was suggested that we might see a pair of AR glasses from Apple this year, now the rumours suggest they are two years away. While I'll happily admit that it was wishful thinking to believe that it was going to happen last week, I also can't believe that we're over two years away from a reveal either. Maybe that's just the impatience within me.
