Xbox held its annual games showcase event at the weekend and, among many other things, revealed that a free 40th Anniversary Edition upgrade to Microsoft Flight Simulator will bring a stack of new aircraft to pilot, including giving you the controls of the Pelican craft from [Halo Infinite](. Why does it matter? As well as classic airports and planes from previous Flight Simulator versions, such as Microsoft Flight Simulator X and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004: A Century of Flight, there will be helicopters to pilot for the first time. What's my take? If you're a big Flight Sim fan then the addition of new craft is always going to be appealing, especially helicopters. For me the more interesting news though is that Microsoft is looking at crossing over franchises into the Flight Sim world and hopefully a new generation of gamers with it. Starting with Halo is an easy approach for the company as there are no licences to worry about, but surely it's only a matter of time before we see other craft from other games, TV shows, or movies. I would love to see how an X-Wing, a Star Trek Shuttlecraft, or even Thunderbirds 2 flies for example, and maybe one day that might become a reality - well in Flight Simulator at least. WhatsApp users can now create groups with up to 512 participants Pocket-lint What's happened? WhatsApp only recently [increased the number of participants]( that could take part in a group from 8 to 32, but now the messaging platform is upping the number again, this time to 512. Why does it matter? The feature that sees the ability to add 512 people to a WhatsApp group went into beta in early May but it has now started to roll out to iOS, Android and Desktop users. What's my take? That's a fairly big jump from the initial eight, and turns the messaging service into a very different beast allowing people to use it as an exclusive group alert system for example. Personally if I was added to a group with that many people, the first thing I would do is press the "mute" button. The Renault Arkana fuses desirable saloon or coupé looks with the higher-riding stature of a crossover, giving greater road presence, a 'fast' back and an interesting overall shape. Our quick verdict The Renault Arkana looks good with a fresh design, but, from the interior, it's a little noisy, raising questions about the overall quality. There's great safety tech and good connected features, but it doesn't feel great to drive - even if it is reletively efficient in its hybrid guise.
