Apple has confirmed the date and time of its WWDC keynote and hinted at what could be announced. Why does it matter? WWDC has been a given for a while, but it's always exciting when Apple confirms the time and date of its next event (10am PST on Monday 6 June). As usual, we are more than likely to get details on new features for the various operating systems, such as MacOS and iOS. However, we could also find out about arOS, Apple's much rumoured augmented reality platform. What's my take? Apple has always used its developer conference keynote to share what to expect from the various Apple operating system refreshes coming later in the year, and 2022 is unlikely to be any different. It has also used the event to showcase some hardware in the past, usually Mac-based. Indeed, the company has already teased that there are more Apple Silicon devices yet to come. But the big hope, certainly amongst Apple fans, is that the company will use the event to showcase some elements of its rumoured augmented reality offering. I think the general consensus is that we won't get physical hardware at the event, but we might get some details about the operating system framework for developers - maybe even a tease, especially given it's a new product category. - [Apple WWDC 2022: When is it? Garmin's next top tier [Forerunner watch has leaked]( yet again, and this time it comes with some pretty in-depth specifications and official-looking renders and lifestyle shots. Why does it matter? Those familiar with the Forerunner range will immediately recognise it. The watch has that completely round case with a fairly simple design and the usual five-button control system. It's a lot simpler in look than the Fenix or Epix. What's my take? Plenty of details were accidentally posted by the US retailer (someone's going to get fired), and although we haven't got a release date yet, I think it's fair to say that if you're in the market for a new Garmin, it's probably best to hold off a week or two. At least to see if this new smartwatch turns up sooner rather than later. - [Best Garmin 2022: Ranking the top Garmin GPS sports watches, smartwatches and activity trackers]( A MESSAGE FROM SPONSOR How Qualcomm's automotive innovations are driving cars forward Pocket-lint We caught up with Don McGuire, SVP and chief marketing officer at Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. to find out more about what Qualcomm is working on. It's not the first powered roller to hit the market (the Elite Nero debuted two years prior to the Kickr Rollr), but it is the first hybrid that clamps the front wheel in place and allows novices to ride without feeling the fear of toppling off. Our quick verdict Wahoo has created an innovative hybrid product in the Rollr. It offers the best ride comfort we've experienced from a trainer and edges far closer to the feel of the open roads than a traditional turbo trainer can, but this does come at the sacrifice of some power accuracy which won't suit those who want to race on platforms such as Zwift.
