WhatsApp is finally adding emoji reactions allowing you to quickly reply with emoji, like a thumbs up or smile. Why does it matter? Emoji reactions are a universal, visual, and simple way to respond to a message without having to type a response. What's my take? Apple iMessage users will have been using emoji reactions for a number of years and will probably be surprised that it's taken this long for WhatsApp to add the feature. It's certainly a welcome addition and one I look forward to using, but don't get too excited just yet.
