Virgin Media has [announced]( an all-in-one TV service served via the internet rather than cable, called Stream. Why does it matter? Stream is more than just a box, it is a whole package of TV services from Virgin Media. It costs £35 for the internet-connected device, but you can then add TV and streaming services on a rolling 30-day payment system. There is no mandatory monthly contract. What's my take? Sky has already forged the path for this in the UK when it launched Sky Glass last year and now it is Virgin Media's turn as the company looks to embrace access via the internet rather than insisting that you need a cable connection that the company provides. But as we've seen with Sky Glass, while the switch is appealing and very much future proof, giving up what to many is already a very good service, is something that isn't necessarily appealing to everyone on day one. It's a challenge Virgin Media will have to face, but also an interesting lesson being watched and learned by cable companies around the globe. - [Stream from Virgin Media initial review: Contract-free internet TV in one tiny box]( Nintendo delays the Super Mario Bros. movie into 2023 Nintendo What's happened? Nintendo has [announced]( a delay to the release of its animated Super Mario Bros. movie, pushing the film from its projected release date of 23 December 2022 into Spring 2023. Why does it matter? Super Mario Bros' last outing at the cinema was abysmal, clearly everyone involved this time around wants to avoid the same criticism, hence the need for more time to make sure it's well received. What's my take? If you thought the pandemic was over and that everything was back to normal think again. Nintendo isn't the only company, of late, who has announced that its promised 2022 release is changing, and it won't be the last. That means rather than a Mario-fuelled Christmas, we'll all be getting excited about Mario in the Spring instead, and I wonder if we'll see any tie-in games appear on the Switch now the company has an extra couple of months to get something done. Fingers crossed. Our quick verdict The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G hits all the important spec points, with a great design and display. There's no shortage of mid-range phones that provide a similar experience for less - and this is no big jump from the A52 - but there are still some very good reasons to choose the A53.
