A [leaked image]( of the yet to be confirmed Motorola Frontier sporting Samsung's [200-megapixel Isocell HP1 camera sensor]( has been doing the rounds. Why does it matter? Many were expecting Xiaomi to be the first company to feature Samsung's latest and greatest sensor, but it appears that Moto would be first out of the gate if the image and phone prove to be legitimate. What's my take? A long time ago I covered the launch of a 1 megapixel camera, now some 20+ years later here I am writing about a 200-megapixel sensor on the back of a phone. Times have certainly changed. If there's one thing that I've learnt the most over that time, it is that the sensor is just one part of the photographic puzzle. So while that 200 number might sound amazing compared to the 12-megapixel offering you might have in your phone already, if the camera's lenses aren't great, the sensor's size is too small, or the software doesn't take advantage of it, then it's about as useful as a chocolate teapot. PlayStation's Game Pass rival might launch this week Pocket-lint What's happened? Sony could launch its [PlayStation subscription service]( this week, if the latest report is to be believed. Why does it matter? "People familiar with the plans" have told Bloomberg that it will debut with a lineup of hit games from recent years, but don't expect it to be as extensive as Xbox Game Pass from the off. What's my take? Xbox's Game Pass has been hugely successful. It's driven console sales and in turn subscriptions, so it's not surprising that Sony wants in on the action too and why not? As the Xbox Games Pass has shown us it seems to be a win-win for both sides. Consumers get more games to play without having to find £50 every time, and developers get to monetise older titles that would have otherwise just sat gathering dust. While the launch date isn't locked down yet, expect PlayStation owners to clamber to the service once it goes live, before recollecting stories and even songs of their previous loves. That said, it's a far cry from the competitively priced bots that the company first released and its dock is physically massive. Still, it's a pleasure to live with and delivers a great clean without any hassle.
