Honor has announced its latest phone, the [Magic 4 Ultimate]( which will join the rest of the Magic 4 family that was announced back at MWC. Why does it matter? Focus is firmly on the camera platform and Honor claims it is the most powerful and versatile camera system it has produced to date. The array is comprised of a 50MP wide camera, 64MP Periscope telephoto camera, 50MP spectrum enhanced camera and a 64MP ultra-wide with the world's first dual free-form lens. What's my take? Now free from Huawei, Honor is trying to push itself to the forefront of smartphone users' minds with big hitting numbers that are bound to pique our interest. I've yet to try the new camera platform of the Honor Magic 4, but it's clear we're starting to enter an age of the smartphone cameras that no longer just want to replace your point and shoot camera, but your DSLR too. And given the design of this model, Honor clearly believe that to do that, the phone needs to start looking like a camera too. Is Apple working on a HealthTag to track features like blood sugar levels? Pocket-lint What's happened? Apple announced AirTags in April 2021 but a recent [patent]( suggests that might not be the only tag we will see from the company. Why does it matter? A patent application spotted by PatentlyApple (via Wareable) presents the possibility of a wearable sensor worn around the body or on clothes that monitors health and fitness features. It's suggested the sensor - or tag - would wirelessly communicate with a central device, which we would presume would be an iPhone or Apple Watch. What's my take? Given how successful the Apple Watch has become, and the amount of data it is able to capture, it's only logical that Apple would be looking at ways to "double down" on how it can capture more data from us. That, the patent suggests, could be further sensors that relay information back to a central device like the iPhone or the Apple Watch to provide even more data points. That to me sounds a little overly complex for Apple - the Apple Watch might be a bunch of sensors you wear, but it's sold first and foremost as a watch - but the idea isn't beyond the realms of possibility. I would expect that such a device would be a part of something else - say the AirPods for example - rather than just being a sensor you have to wear as a sensor.
