Apple is reportedly working on a supercharged version of the Mac Mini for release in the "coming months". Why does it matter? The [Apple]( Mac Studio could fit in the company's computer lineup between a new Mac Mini and the Mac Pro and be perfect for app developers. What's my take? With just one day to go until the next Apple event, rumours are swirling around faster than cups at the Mad Hatter's tea party. The expectation is that a new iPhone SE with 5G support will be announced, possibly also an updated iPad Air and a Mac. But, where things get interesting is that the rumour mill can't seem to pinpoint what type of Mac. Will it be a new, faster MacBook Air? Maybe a 13- or 16-inch MacBook Pro to match the design of the 14-inch model we saw last year? And then there's the possibility of a Mac Pro powered by a beefier M2 processor - although personally (famous last words), I suspect Apple will hold onto that for WWDC in June. Now being thrown into the mix is a pro-level Mac Mini dubbed Mac Studio. It makes sense. However, it also makes sense to hold it back till the summer too, when Apple will be talking to all those devs at its developers conference. The upshot is, we'll have plenty of surprises at the event this week, and I suspect still plenty to look forward to as the year continues. - [Apple's March 2022 event is official: How to watch and what to expect]( Xbox Cloud Gaming to get mouse and keyboard support Xbox What's happened? PC users of Microsoft's Cloud Gaming platform will soon get mouse and keyboard support. Why does it matter? In a Q&A with the Microsoft Flight Simulator community, the team working on that game's continued updates revealed that alternative input support would be coming. It clarified that it was something that the Xbox Cloud Gaming platform team was working on. What's my take? As the service starts to venture away from the Xbox itself, it's clear that means understanding, adapting, and supporting different ways for gamers to control the games they like to play. Yep, once again you'll be able to have that argument with your friends (or even yourself) over which is the better input device and which one is best for the game you're playing.
