Former OnePlus boss, Carl Pei, has taken to Twitter to [tease]( that his next product after the Nothing Ear 1 earbuds (above) will be a phone. Why does it matter? In 2021, Pei's new firm, Nothing, purchased the Essential smartphone company and also signed a major deal with Qualcomm, suggesting a phone is very much back on the cards. What's my take? Having left the company he founded to set up the Nothing brand, Pei now looks like he's returning to what he knows best - mid-range smartphones. But will we simply see a repeat of the early OnePlus playbook or has the endearing tech head and his team got new tricks up their sleeves? Great Scott! An all-electric DeLorean could be revealed later this year DMC What's happened? An all-electric DeLorean is [rumoured]( to be in the works. Why does it matter? Thanks to the Back to the Future trilogy, there's always been a fond spot for the DeLorean in many people's minds - even though the original 80s car was a massive flop. The new tweet teasing a "reimagined" future doesn't give much away, save for a silhouetted glimpse of the classic gullwing doors. But, it's enough to get the internet excited. What's my take? It looks like where we're going we still need roads! At least we'll be able to get there without destroying the planet.
