A [leaked document]( has revealed that Samsung is increasing the duration of support for its devices. Why does it matter? The document reveals that Samsung will be offering four generations of Android OS upgrades and 5 years of security updates. What's my take? Android updates have always lagged behind Apple's updates plan. Now Samsung seemingly wants to change all that with the promise that it will support devices for longer. If true, that's great news for those of us that want to hold on to our phones longer - which, lets face it, is most of us. It means that buying into the Samsung phone family means you'll still be getting benefits (software-wise) for a number of years to come, rather than just until the next hardware cycle. Meta has [threatened]( to shut down some of its services in Europe, including Facebook and Instagram, if it cannot circumnavigate some of the transatlantic data transfer restrictions outlined in the EU's GDPR regulations. Why does it matter? As part of its annual report, the company claimed that "evolving" regulations could result in an inability to operate in some European regions. What's my take? However, you have to love the response from some European ministers that have been along the lines of "life has been fantastic" without Facebook. It's never good when a threat is replied with "sure go for it, that's the outcome we all hoped for anyway". The fourth-gen Cowboy has arrived - with a minor design change in the form of a smartphone-based 'dashboard'. Our quick verdict We've loved riding the Cowboy 4, just like we did the last-gen model. It's a luxury option, but it ticks so many boxes that many electric bikes can't match. Indeed, it might be the best electric bicycle on the market.
