TP Vision has [announced]( its first Philips-branded OLED TV to use LG Display's new, brighter OLED EX panel. Why does it matter? The Philips OLED807 will be available in four sizes: 48-, 55-, 65- and 77-inches. And, gamers will be happy that HDMI 2.1 ports will support eARC, variable refresh rates (VRR) from 40Hz to 120Hz, and a full bandwidth of 48Gbps (444, 12 bit). What's my take? It looks like the Philips brand custodian, TP Vision, is doubling down on picture quality and premium experiences with its new TVs that'll grace stores later this year. It's going even bigger on its unique Ambilight technology - coloured LEDs that ape on-screen images as light behind the set - and gaming is getting a massive push too. Considering the OLED807's predecessor won the Pocket-lint Awards' Best TV category in 2021, this is one to watch for sure. - [Philips 4K HDR TV choices compared: OLED 807, OLED+ 986, 936, MiniLED 9636 and more]( Spotify removes Neil Young songs over Joe Rogan anti-vax row Pocket-lint What's happened? Spotify has [confirmed]( that it is removing songs from Neil Young's catalogue after the singer issued an ultimatum to the streaming giant earlier this week. Why does it matter? He demanded that the platform take a stand against Joe Rogan, its biggest podcaster, for repeated shows featuring misinformation about the COVID-19 pandemic and its vaccines. What's my take? Okay, so Neil Young being removed from the platform isn't going to really make a huge difference to most Spotify listeners. but it does show how fragile Spotify's business model is. I don't think he'll be the last artist to raise concerns over podcast content, neither. It would only take a couple of other artists or labels to pull their music from the platform and the company will have a major crisis on its hands. That was always the fear for Netflix too. But, the video streaming giant countered by making its own movies and TV shows. That way, it had its own content to lure in customers and wasn't so reliant on third-parties. We've not seen Spotify move into the music ownership or publishing business in a serious way yet, but I believe it should look at that option. If it owns music rights itself, it will have better control on where it's played and who gets to listen to it. - [How to get more from Spotify]( A MESSAGE FROM SPONSOR EcoFlow's DELTA Pro ecosystem is perfect for living off-grid Ecoflow The EcoFlow DELTA Pro ecosystem offers a massive 3.6kWh of power from a single unit. Honda has released the third-generation Honda HR-V, called the e:HEV, that features a proper hybrid powertrain. Our quick verdict While the e:HEV is clever for smooth city driving and great efficiency, the handover to the engine is loud and the car feels overstretched. It's this drive quality that lets the third-gen HR-V down, otherwise this baby crossover SUV is streets ahead of its predecessor in terms of visual style and infotainment quality.
