All the must-reads from the Fort William World Cup. [View this email in your browser]( Ronan Dunne Takes His First Podium By the Narrowest of Margins, Marine Cabirou is Back on Top with her 8th World Cup Win & Asa Vermette & Heather Wilson Continue to Impress in Juniors The second Elite DH World Cup of the year provided extremely close racing with nail-biting moments on a fresh new course in Poland. After pulling ahead in the final two splits, Marine Cabirou secured her first win of the season in the elite women's race and her 8th ever win. Cabirou bested Camille Balanche through the final sectors as she crossed the line 1.188 seconds ahead with Nina Hoffmann completing the top three 1.6 back. Vali Höll crashed out in the first sector ending any hopes of back-to-back World Cup wins, but still leads the overall, just 10 points ahead of Tahnee Seagrave. The elite men's race saw a first-time World Cup winner as Ronan Dunne backed up his Hardline Tasmania win earlier this year with victory in Poland. Dunne ended his weekend on the top step of the podium ahead of Loic Bruni by just 0.064 seconds. Bruni led a stacked French top five with Dunne the only rider not from France on the podium. Dunne now sits second in the overall behind Bruni. We've got XC racing in Nove Mesto this weekend, before heading to Leogang, Austria June 7-9 for round 3 of the DH World Cup. Fantasy DH League Results: Who Won the Second Round - Bielsko-Biala DH World Cup 2024 Congrats to @Jpaul14 who received an impressive 120 points with his team of Angel Suarez, Amaury Pierron, Bodhi Kuhn, Oisin O Callaghan, Camille Balanche and Louise Ferguson. After Bielsko-Biala, each rider’s price changed based on their results. This mean that your most expensive rider will likely be removed from your team and automatically replaced with a cheaper rider. You can make other team changes to make room to get that rider back, or replace them with another rider. At this point, it’s likely that going all-in on a top rider isn’t the winning strategy, so you’ll have to look further down the ranks to see who can deliver value for your money. Tip: look for top riders who had a bad first race and who have dropped in value.
