[januaryheader.jpg] January! What a month. Sometimes it feels like it flies right on by, and others, it feels like it never ends. Here’s to making it through, whichever way it comes.👊 Hands down, our favorite part of the New Year (besides The Bachelor starting, obviously) is our annual Sugar Free January challenge. It was 30 days of no refined sugar, super yummy recipes, and new habits that we’ll (hopefully) bring right on through the rest of the year. We also started a fun new recipe series and celebrated the return of What I Ate Wednesday (remember those?). Lots to catch up on, friends! Here’s what else we’ve been up to this month.👇 --------------------------------------------------------------- Everyone’s Favorite Recipe this Month [lemon-chicken-soup.jpg]( Lemon Chicken Soup with Orzo - 4.8 stars from 30 reviews! AKA the soup that changed all of our lives. Filling, fresh, and vibrant lemony chicken soup made creamy with NO CREAM and a secret ingredient! [—> Get the recipe here.]( Sugar Free January Recap + Survey! [sugar-free-january.jpg] We made it! Today is the last official day of Sugar Free January. Can you even believe it? This is our second year going refined-sugar-free to kick off the year, and it just keeps getting better and better. Over the last 30 days, we’ve eaten some seriously yummy food: a [crunchy spicy salad]( a blow-your-mind [no-boil pasta bake]( a smokey limey [sweet potato soup]( and so much more. You open the fridge and find those little gifts you left for yourself: pre-chopped veggies, jars of sauces, freezer meals that are ready for the Instant Pot, and your little Tupperwares of soup that are ready for a quick heat-up for lunch. Because of our dedication to making life + food easier and more delicious, we started a brand new series on the blog: 15-Minute Meal Prep! Every recipe in the series only requires 15 minutes of hands-on time and many can be done right in a slow cooker or Instant Pot. Pretty awesome, right? We’ll keep coming at ya each week with a new 15-Minute Meal Prep Recipe. Get ready! Well let me just say I found it! I used homemade veg stock and was leary of the 5 cloves of garlic, so I only used 3. Next time I will definitely be using 5. I made the soup in my Instant Pot because I didn’t want to wait all day to taste it. It was easy to make and now my favorite recipe." – Heather on [The Best Detox Crockpot Lentil Soup]( [jalapeno-chicken-soup.jpg]( "Oh, my! I made this yesterday, and I absolutely cannot believe that a soup this easy tastes so good. I loved it, and my husband immediately asked, ‘When can we have this again? You’re going to make it soon, right?’ My answer? This one is going into regular, frequent rotation." - Bonnie on [Jalapeño Lime Chicken Soup]( [vegan-vodka-pasta.jpg]( "My mum has always wanted me to make vodka pasta sauce (you can’t get it here in Australia) but she was very sceptical about the coconut milk in this one. Well, it didn’t take long for her to become a convert and she has now requested this be on permanent rotation in our dinner menu." - Ellen on [Vegan Vodka Pasta]( Favorite Product of the Month There are thousands of amazing products to keep in your kitchen, but we have a handful of go-to tools that we use almost every day - whether it’s products we’ve had forever or an awesome new find. Here’s what we’re loving this month! [silicone_baking_sheet.jpg]( Silicone Baking Mats For all the cookie-baking, veggie-roasting, and pizza-making we do around here, this is one of our favorite ways to keep it easy with minimal cleanup. Bonus: because they’re reusable, you’re also cutting back on all the parchment and foil you’d normally use. Win-win. [—> Find our favorite silicone baking mat on Amazon.]( Heads up!
