We've implemented ads on our website. Read all about it here... [Image] Update Newsletter Advertisement on Picarto.TV Dear creative minds, as some of you might have noticed, we recently implemented video and display advertisement on Picarto.TV. These will occasionally appear on our website and we want to explain to you all the changes and what might happen next. --------------------------------------------------------------- Why do we serve ads now? As announced before, we want to provide a Picarto.TV Partner program so streamers can get an ad revenue share to monetize their streams. But we need to find a suitable ad network first. So ads are naturally the next step for us in order to maintain Picarto.TV and develop new and useful features for you. --------------------------------------------------------------- Video Ads in Live Streams We implemented pre-roll video ads that appear before the actual live stream starts. The duration and skippable option for the video ads will be tested in the next few weeks to adjust it to a pleasant level. Here are the changes for the following user groups: Premium member Premium users will not see any ads (banner + video ads) on Picarto.TV. Also, premium users have the option to disable ads in their live streams for their audience on the settings page. This is an exclusive perk for premium members only! ([Upgrade here]( Basic member Basic users will not see any ads (banner + video ads) on Picarto.TV. However, their audience is still able to see these ads. ([Upgrade here]( Subscriber A new perk for subscribers is to have ads disabled for the channel they subscribed to. This way you can support your favorite artist and get rid of their ads. Free users Free users will see all ads on Picarto.TV (video + banner ads). Streamers without premium have no option to disable ads for their audience (except basic and premium viewers). --------------------------------------------------------------- Is this change cast in stone? No, we are still experimenting with different ad networks and ad capacity on Picarto.TV. --------------------------------------------------------------- Please share this post with your friends to spread the word!
