So bad she cried!

Itâs pretty sad, isnât it? Everyday I have people reach out to me- saying things like⦠âPlease help me.â âPain has robbed me of things I enjoy.â âMy pain makes me angry and irritableâ¦and thatâs just not me.â Some decide to do something about it⦠others continue down the same âcozyâ path of doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result. Meet Kristy. She started working with us a week or so ago. She had pain in her butt and hip area for almost 2 years. Because it caused her to walk hunched over- she avoided almost everything⦠Here's what she wrote in her Case Review submission prior to working together⦠Kristy was in tears as she shared what she couldnât do with us. A week into the program and sheâs had something unexpected happen⦠(see her post): For so long she had been treating her body. PT, musculoskeletal specialists, and other providers tried stretching her tight quads, hips, and lower back. They strengthened her core, improved her posture, and guess what happened⦠NOTHING. (temporary relief at best) They missed the fact that Kristy had physical symptoms that were NOT a result of tight quads, wonky hips, or a weak core⦠but rather a sensitive central nervous system. All the fear. All the worry. All the anxiety. All the stress... Had begun to take a toll on her body⦠pain was the result. Kristyâs only a week into the process⦠but sheâs well on her way. If youâre anything like Kristy⦠and it seems like no matter what you do- your pain wonât go away⦠Then, there are only two things that could explain why youâre stuck. 1. Youâre randomly trying exercises and doing things that are picking the scab and keeping you from healing

2. Your symptoms arenât as physical as you think (but are still very real!)
