It was for Karmin, too! ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ Hey {NAME} - Is sitting a nightmare? For many people with butt, and sciatica issues- just the thought of sitting makes them cringe. Many people I work with have to plan their day (or life) around the fact that they simply can’t tolerate sitting. Family wants to go on a trip? “Ahh, nope- can’t go.” Night out with friends? “Sorry, can’t sit” Stinks, doesn’t it? Very common. For the past 4 years, Karmin had trouble sitting due to the pain in her butt. She had tried lots of stuff- but nothing worked… Less than 2 weeks into the program and she just drove 12 hours without pain. TWELVE hours pain free: Heck, I’m not sure I could even do that. And for someone with butt and sciatica pain- this probably sounds like a nightmare! By trying some simple “tweaks” to the way she drove, she was able to discover that she could in fact drive pain free. How is it that she went 4 years without “figuring this out”? Simple, sometimes you just don’t know what you don’t know. And that’s the tricky part. Karmin knew she needed a coach to help make little tweaks to her approach. By keeping an open mind and recognizing that she was probably missing something- she was willing to try on new ways of doing things. Now that she’s optimized her sitting environment- she’s ready to ADD in specific movements that will resolve her pain. Notice what I just said… optimize your environment first, THEN add in movement as medicine.
