Hey {NAME}, As you may recall- this Easter Sunday at 4:10am I got a call from my mom- letting me know that my little brother Brandon had been placed on a ventilator due to an “asthma attack.” A complete SHOCK to me and everyone who knew him. You received an email from me asking for support and prayers on Monday morning… And so I wanted to say a HUGE thank you and provide a brief update. THANK YOU! Let me begin by saying that I am overwhelmed with the amount of love, gratitude, and support I received over the last several days (I’m still getting messages as I type this). Over 300 emails from people all over the world flooded my inbox and message box offering prayers, words of encouragement, and personal stories that truly lifted my spirits AND Brandon’s as well! UPDATE: On the third day he rose from his bed... After a few days on the ventilator, Brandon's lungs and body improved progressively… to where he was still wheezing a bit, but his condition was stable enough to wean him from the ventilator on Tuesday. I’ll save all the yucky details, but I held his hand the entire time, while he was still on (but awake…freaky) right up to the grand finale… “1, 2, 3, COUGH!” and they quickly removed the breathing tubes… off the ventilator he went. You may be wondering, just as I was, how does an otherwise healthy 31yo man go from playing ice hockey and working 7 days a week to being knocked out on a ventilator in a matter of days? There were many hypotheses… but the one that stands out and MOST consistently explains Brandon’s case above all others is exposure to an environmental trigger- BLACK MOLD! Nasty stuff. As I draft this update- Brandon is still in the hospital… but no longer in critical care. They plan to discharge him tomorrow or Friday morning at the latest. He’s off meds and only has the oxygen sensor remaining! 🙌🏻 My family and I got him up and got him moving, the nurses and clinical staff kept his condition and medications in check, and you all sent positive vibes from every corner of the world. Teamwork makes the dream work. And I thank you for being a part of my team! This means so much to me. He’s got some recovery ahead of him, but for now- he’s back up on his feet and exactly where he needs to be. I am grateful beyond words for your support- thank you for keeping Brandon and my family in your prayers! Stay well, Dr. Charlie PS- If I have yet to respond to your message personally- I plan to do so in the next couple days. Thank you for your patience. PPS- If you’re dealing with some type of back, butt, or sciatica pain and need some support, I may be able to help. [Apply to work with me and book your call here.]( Last I checked- we had about 25 spots remaining for the month of April… PPPS- You’ll be hearing more from me in the coming weeks as I get back to doing what I do best- teaching people in pain how to heal themselves naturally using the power of their mind + movement as medicine.
