[View this email in your browser]( 2023 Photoville Festival team, taken by [Penumbra Tintype Portrait Studio]( Dear Friends of Photoville, This year, many of us have faced both challenges and triumphs, and as we move into the new year we wanted to take a moment to reflect and thank you for your support throughout it all. 2023 featured a successful annual [Photoville Festival]( visited by over 1 million+ people; the curation and production of 120+ free and accessible [public art exhibitions]( throughout NYC and across the US; and the hands-on engagement of more than 800 educators and students through [Photoville’s Education programs](. And it was thanks to our [brilliant and passionate team]( that this impactful work was made possible. Whether you participated in a workshop, shared us on social media, read an email, made a donation, or paid a visit to one of the 180+ exhibitions and programs this year, your contributions made the difference we needed to carry on. As we look ahead to the new year, our team is excited to continue to build upon the solid foundations we have laid down over the first 12 years of Photoville. Centered in our support of the visual storytelling community, in 2024 we plan on creating more paid opportunities for photographers; increasing access to our programming for young people; and continuing to partner with our colleagues and fellow organizations to host thoughtful artist conversations, safety workshops, and professional development sessions for our visual storytelling community. We can not wait to see you at one of our events or perhaps exhibit your work! ([Remember, the call for proposals for next year’s festival is open till January 18, 2024]( Wishing you and your loved ones a safe and peaceful new year, Sam, Dave, Laura and the Photoville team P.S.
