Applications open until November 7, 2023, 11:59PM Photoville is proud to announce our collaboration with [Leica Camera]( in the 5th Annual 2024 Leica Women Foto Project. The award welcomes applicants from the United States, United Kingdom, Mexico, and Canada (excluding Québec). This year’s award celebrates the power of perspective, inviting applicants to submit a photo essay made with any make/model camera, under themes of reclamation, resilience and rebirth.​ A total of four Awardees will be announced on March 8th, representing one recipient from each region. Each Awardee will receive a Leica SL2-S camera, a Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-70mm f/2.8 ASPH. lens, and a $10,000 USD cash prize, for use towards a current or future photo essay.​ Applicants will be reviewed by a panel of world renowned editors, curators and contributors to the world of photography! This open-air exhibition displays the various elements of what the students believe makes up a neighborhood. We see images of friendships, how new neighborhood residents make a living in a new and far away place, what it means to care for elders without our families and what are the personal and communal histories that we hold within our neighborhoods. For over 10 years, the [JustArts youth photography program]( goal is to enable young people to recognize their own talents and interests as they make life-changing decisions to become civically engaged leaders of tomorrow.
