Clear your calendars and get ready for some summer fun [View this email in your browser]( MEET & GREET Tomorrow, Saturday, August 12, 2023 2023 Fort Greene Community Heroes An annual exhibition spotlighting 12 community heroes of Fort Greene August 12, 2023, 3 - 6pm [Commodore Barry Park]( This weekend, [Community Heroes]( is hosting their first of 2 [Meet & Greets]( in Commodore Barry Park to celebrate the heroes, youth writers, and photographers for this year’s exhibition. Join us in the unveiling of the banner and a special opportunity to meet and connect with everyone a part of this annual community project. Youth writers, photographers, and Fort Greene’s heroes will walk us through the culmination of this project and their individual stories as a part of the Fort Greene community. Next week, Wednesday, August 16th from 6:30pm - 8pm, Community Heroes will also be hosting another [Meet & Greet]( with youth writers, photographers, and Fort Greene heroes in [Fort Greene Park](.  Follow along on [Community Heroes instagram]( to see more about the 12 heroes being spotlighted this year, and to stay up to date on this year’s stories of Fort Greene’s heroes. With 2023 #PhotovilleFestival artist, [Janette Beckman]( exhibiting her renowned photo documentation, “[Hip Hop at 50]( join us as we dive deep and connect through a week’s worth of experiences celebrating the history of hip-hop.
