[View this email in your browser]( #PHOTOVILLE2023 HAS COME TO A CLOSE! 16 days. 16 days is the amount of time we spent amplifying stories from around the world; bridging gaps between communities and individuals; and 16 days of joy, empathy, and connection. This year was especially important for the Photoville Community because these past 3 years have been significantly challenging for us all. The pandemic transformed the way we engage, connect, and see our world. Yet, the Photoville Village came together, just as we always do, with the love, support, and presence we depend on. This past Sunday, June 18th marked the end of the 2023 #PhotovilleFestival in [Brooklyn Bridge Park]( With over [80+ free and accessible exhibitions]( across all 5 boroughs displayed on banners, cubes, trusses, and our signature shipping containers, our 12th annual festival was a success! And the enthusiastic response to our diverse array of workshops and professional development opportunities for the photo community proved that access to these resources will always remain essential. These 16 days are also a result of the commitment, intentionality, and hard work from the Photoville team; from our marquee, exhibition venue, and education partners: [Leica Camera]( [Brooklyn Bridge Park]( [NYC Parks]( [NYC Department of Cultural Affairs]( [PhotoWings]( [NYC Media & Entertainment]( [Two Trees]( and [Dumbo Brooklyn]( to our [exhibition and programming partners]( and most especially our docents who supported the Photoville staff throughout the festival. To the festival artists and curators… we wouldn’t be what we are without each and every one of you. Thank you for selflessly and courageously sharing your work and voices with the world. The work you do is essential to the connection we need, so keep going! And, to YOU, our festival goers… THANK YOU!
